Consistency was key, at least where jewelry was concerned, at the Spring/Summer 2016 collections at New York Fashion Week. Great attention was paid from the neck up as earrings and necklaces were the reigning jewelry pieces of the season.

Large, delicate earrings and hoops were seen in abundance, from Rag & Bone to Carolina Herrera. In true Givenchy manner, creative director, Ricardo Tisci, sent models down the runway wearing jewel-encrusted face masks and headpieces with large, circular disks attached to the ear lobe.

Chokers were another mainstay this season. Adam Selman included a summery touch to his, with flower buds fastened to black cords. Chokers were also doubled or tripled to create a collar, as seen at Ohne Titel and Milly by Michelle Smith.

Beaded accessories also offered a fresh update to bracelets and earrings alike, from the art teacher-chic pieces at Derek Lam to the surf and beach-inspired bracelets and chokers at Baja East.
